Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Answers
What are the advantages of applying online?
Applying online is faster, more convenient, more reliable and more
accurate than using paper forms. It is fast because the completed
application is in the hands of the loan rep seconds after the prospect
has entered the information online. It is convenient because the information
is transferred automatically and directly to the loan rep (or even to your
loan processing software), without the need to fax, mail or carry the
paper form to your office. It is more reliable and accurate because the
informaiton is entered into the computer exactly as the prospect entered
it, eliminating potential data entry errors when the information from a
paper form is transcribed by a third person.
Must I have a web site to use PointExpress?
No. Having your own website will probably be good for your business,
but is not required for using our online loan application forms. All
your prospects need in order to access your online loan application
page is the URL of the page. You can let them know this URL by email,
fax, phone or a letter, or they can get it from a brochure, advertisment,
business card, or any other written communication.
How easy is it to set up an online loan application page?
It's very easy for you, because we do all the work. If our default forms
don't exactly match your needs, just tell us what fields you need to add
or remove, and we'll customize the forms for you. We'll also need a list
of the loan officers with their email addresses, so we can create the
appropriate accounts.
Can I trust that the online system is secure?
We use Secure Server for confinential, reliable data collection. This
insures that nobody else can "listen-in" or access the prospects' or your
own data. For more details please see our
Privacy Policy.
Will loan applicants get unsolicited emails?
No! We use prospects' email addresses only for communications
regarding their loan application. We do not disclose applicats' email
addresses to anyone else but you (the loan broker), and we do not
send unsolicited emails. For more details please see our
Privacy Policy.
Why is "wet signature" required for online applications?
Many lenders still require applicants' "wet" signature on paper.
What about loan applicants who don't have a printer?
Prospects who don't have a printer, or are unable to print the application
forms on their computer, can request the loan broker to fax or mail them
the forms, or pick them up at your office.
What levels of Point integration do you offer?
We offer three levels of integration with Calyx's Point loan origination software:

1. Manual import: When a loan application is submitted, your loan officer
receives an email which contain a link. Upon clicking this link, you can
download the application data from our website, then import tha application
to point using a template file that we supply.

2. Automatic import: Each online loan application is automatically imported
into Point. This requires that your Point computer is accessible from the
Internet via a fixed (static) IP address.

3. Automatic import and manual export: In addition to automatic import,
you will be able to export closed loan data from Point to PointExpress,
so you can market services (such as refinancing) to your existing client
base.
